Merla
Age: 6
Merla has been at Lephare Orphanage since she was three months old. Her mother died in childbirth and her father was unable to take care of her. He has since moved to Chile. Merla is the youngest at Le Phare, but she is also the boss of all her older brothers and sisters with her sassy attitude. |
Evenson
Age: 14
Favorite Color: Red Favorite Food: Rice and Vegetables Favorite Subject: Math Evenson and his twin, Dieuna, were both brought to Le Phare Orphanage in 2018 when their mother died in childbirth with another set of twins. One of the twins survived, but when Pastor, the Director of the orphanage, went to get him, the father had already taken him to another orphanage. Evenson wants to be a pastor when he grows up. |
Dieuna
Age: 14
Favorite Color: Pink Favorite Food: Spaghetti Favorite Subject: Chemistry Dieuna and her twin, Evenson, were both brought to Le Phare Orphanage in 2018 when their mother died in childbirth with another set of twins. One of the twins survived, but when Pastor, the Director of the orphanage, when to get him, the father had already taken him to another orphanage. Dieuna wants to be a doctor when she grows up. |
Wiskina
Age: 19
Favorite Color: Pink Favorite Food: Rice Favorite Subject: Chemistry Wiskina wants to be a doctor when she grows up. Pastor, the Director of Le Phare Orphanage, saved Wiskina and her sister during the earthquake in 2010. Since then, he has provided encouragement and schooling so that she can reach her dreams. She spends lots of time studying so that she can stay on track to graduate, as her mother was unable to provide schooling when she was younger. |
DjIvenson

Favorite Color: White Favorite Food: Rice Favorite Subject: Math Djivenson (also known as Sekwam) and his brother, Djerry, came to Le Phare Orphanage in 2016 when their mother could no longer afford to provide for them. Djivenson wants to be a soccer player when he grows up. |

Jean Balder
Age: 16
Favorite Color: Orange Favorite Food: Rice, Sauce & Vegetables Favorite Subject: Math Jean Balder was brought to Le Phare in September 2017 when his mother passed away, leaving his four brothers and three sisters who all live in the countryside besides Casimir, who also lives at Le Phare Orphanage. Jean Balder wants to be a mechanic when he grows up. |
Shela
Age: 21
Favorite Color: Pink Favorite Food: Rice Favorite Subject: Biology Shela wants to be a doctor when she grows up. Pastor, the Director of Le Phare Orphanage, saved Shela and her sister during the earthquake in 2010. Since then, he has provided encouragement and schooling so that she can reach her dreams. She spends lots of time studying so that she can stay on track to graduate, as her mother was unable to provide schooling when she was younger. Shela is the oldest at Le Phare and does a great job taking care of all the younger children. |

Favorite Color: Green Favorite Food: Rice Jessica wants to be a doctor when she grows up. Her parents brought her to Le Phare Orphanage in September of 2016 because they were no longer able to provide her with food, clothing, or schooling. The parents also wanted Le Phare Orphanage to take her six sisters and two brothers, but there was only room for one child. |
Saül
Age: 13
Favorite Color: Purple Favorite Food: Rice & Beans Saül wants to be a soccer player when he grows up. His mom passed away and his dad could not provide for him, so he brought him to Le Phare Orphanage in 2016. He has one older brother in the community that he is still able to visit with. |

Age: 13
Favorite Color: Blue Favorite Food: Rice, Sauce & Vegetables Casimir wants to be a mechanic when he grows up. His mother passed away, leaving his three brothers and sisters including his brother, Jean Balder, who is also at Le Phare Orphanage. His father brought him there in May 2017 after his mother’s passing and lives in the mountains far away. |
Shelove
Age: 15
Favorite Color: Pink Favorite Food: Spaghetti Favorite Subject: Grammar Shelove wants to be a dancer or a soccer player when she grows up. She has been at Le Phare Orphanage since 2016. When she came to Le Phare Orphanage, she said that she did not have a mother or father. While she was there, some strangers came for her saying they were her parents, but they were not. Her mother did eventually come to Le Phare Orphanage but did not want to take her because she could not provide clothing, food, or schooling. |
Davidson

Favorite Color: Red Favorite Food: Everything Favorite Subject: Math Davidson wants to be an engineer when he grows up. His mother is living, but his father passed away, leaving her unable to provide for him. She brought him to Le Phare Orphanage in 2014. Davidson is a skilled soccer player as well! |
